Reports all over the world have shown that TCM is effective in treating AIDS. Research workers treating AIDS with combined TCM and Western medicine in the Zhejiang Province of China have observed and treated patients infected with HIV for nearly three years. Through systematic observation and the accumulation of clinical experience, they acquired a new understanding of the causes, pathogenesis, syndrome differentiation, and therapy selection of AIDS from the viewpoint of TCM. On the basis of clinical practice and relevant research conducted at home and abroad, they compiled this monograph. It is the first book in China expounding upon the prevention and treatment of AIDS with TCM and is intended as a reference for medical personnel engaged in the treatment and prevention of AIDS.
